Linear Dynamic Analysis Examples Using a Realistic Model¶
Analysis Model¶
For linear dynamic analysis, the mechanical component shown in Figure 9.3.1 is used as a realistic model. Four verification cases with different loading conditions and damping coefficients are defined for this realistic model. These cases are listed in Table 9.3.1.
Table 9.3.1 Verification cases using a realistic model for linear dynamic analysis
| Case Name | Element Type | Verification Model | Loading Condition | Damping Condition | Number of Nodes | Degrees of Freedom |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| EX31A | 342 | Meshing model | Step load \(F_0\) | None | 15,214 | 45,642 |
| EX31B | 342 | Step load \(F_0\) | Applied | 15,214 | 45,642 | |
| EX31C | 342 | Square-wave pulse \(F_1\) | None | 15,214 | 45,642 | |
| EX31D | 342 | Square-wave pulse \(F_1\) | Applied | 15,214 | 45,642 |
