FrontISTR v5.7 Release Notes¶
FrontISTR v5.7 Has Been Released!¶
FrontISTR v5.7
- Release date: March 28, 2025
- Changes from v5.6
- Improvements: 12 issues + 1 merge request
- Specification changes: 5 issues + 3 merge requests
- Bug fixes: 15 issues
- Others: 4 issues
Improvements (1/2)¶
- #594 Changing and Adding Dirichlet Boundary Conditions During Analysis
- In the existing implementation, the displacement increment at a given step became the Dirichlet boundary condition.
- By using !BOUNDARY, GRPID=[n], TOTAL, the total displacement value from the initial configuration can be set as a Dirichlet boundary condition (it cannot be used for rotations).
- Note that the behavior of the default !BOUNDARY remains as before (backward compatible).
- #679 Implementation of the Quasi-Newton Method
- Nonlinear static analysis can now be solved by the quasi-Newton method.
- It can be used by setting !NONLINEAR_SOLVER, METHOD=QUASINEWTON.
Improvements (2/2)¶
- #608 Output CONTACT_NFORCE,CONTACT_TFORCE also when !CONTACT, INTERACTION=TIED
- #612 Add OpenMP to the DIAG and SAINV preconditioners
- #581 I/O function for partitioner partitioning information
Elasto-plasticity-related (see !456 for reference)
- #624 Enable setting number of state variables for user defined yield type
- #227 Consistent tangent stiffness for elasto-plasticity (Drucker-Prager, Mohr-Coulomb)
- #623 Add dilatancy angle as input to Mohr-Coulomb and Drucker-Prager
CI-related
(Merge requests without an issue)
- !462 Support for !AMPLITUDE in static analysis
- !AMPLITUDE can now be applied to boundary conditions such as !BOUNDARY even in static analysis.
Specification Changes¶
- #613 Expand forall into nested do loops
- #626 Change directory structure under hecmw1/src/solver/precond
Build-related
- #652 Preparations for rewriting CMakeLists.txt
- #650 Remove ParMETIS-related parts from the installation script
- #604 Remove descriptions of ParMETIS
(Merge requests without an issue)
- !470 Unify dynamic analysis without contact and with contact
- !472 Minor changes for use as a dynamic library
- !475 Removal of the HECMW cmat structure
Bug Fixes¶
- #606 Argument error in matvec for MPC?
- #609 Fix for incorrect reaction forces being output when embedded constraints are set
- #610 No branching to degrees of freedom {1,2} in hecmw_matvec
- #595 Fixes and improvements to the user-defined elasto-plasticity function
- #619 NR no longer converges when a master element with all-point displacement constraints exists in the degree-of-freedom elimination for contact
- #620 Tests for embedded elements sometimes fail
- #625 Trilinos-15.1.1 cannot be used
- #621 Module defect in hecmw_estimate_condition.F90
- #639 Visualization of nodal temperature
- #647 Message output error when using STATICEIGEN
- #628 Fix "has not been explicitly declared" variables
- #668 !STEP's AMP no longer considered in static analysis
Elasto-plasticity-related (see !456 for reference)
- #593 Defect in Mohr-Coulomb
- #622 Fix input of multilinear hardening for Mohr-Coulomb and Drucker-Prager
- #592 Defect in Drucker-Prager
Others¶
- #614 SSOR_22 does not converge depending on the combination with the solver
- #618 Perform the nonzero check using only the profile in the degree-of-freedom elimination for contact
- #640 Handle incompatible-pointer-types under GCC14
- #602 The URL for inquiries to FrontISTR Commons is forcibly redirected
